Theresa Monteleone

St. Louis native Theresa Monteleone is a recent college graduate from Webster University with a bachelor’s in music performance with an emphasis on violin. Monteleone is in demand as a young professional, having performed with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Josh Groban, and Disturbed. In December 2021, she was featured in the world premiere chamber music performance of Jorge Morel’s Aquarelle Latino alongside the Hanser-McClellan Guitar Duo and Webster University faculty for St. Louis Classical Guitar. In February 2022, she performed the world premiere of Zach Tesch’s Bells in the Harbor from Sea Pictures: Violin Concerto No. 2, which was dedicated to her. Besides her experiences in Webster Jazz Combos and improvisation courses, Theresa is very passionate about all genres of music. She was a member of Mariachi St. Louis from 2021-2023 and has been a member of Mariachi Azteca since 2023. She has participated in crossover pioneer Tracy Silverman’s Strum Bowing workshop and the Clazz String Intensive at Webster University. In the summer of 2022, she received a scholarship to attend the Clazz International Music Festival in Arcidosso, Italy, where she had the opportunity to study with Grammy-nominated jazz violinist Jeremy Cohen and Italian soloist Laura Adriana. Theresa has performed in masterclasses for Hamilton touring concertmaster Austin Burket and Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra violinists Jessica Cheng Hellwege and Darwyn Apple. She began teaching private lessons in high school and continues to do so as it is something she is passionate about. She is also the author of A Beginners Guide: How To Teach Young Kids Music.
